Credit One Bank, N.A. , or Credit One, is a U.S. bank specializing in credit cards. It has offices in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Credit One Bank Financial, a bank holding company in Nevada registered owners. Credit One bank Financial is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sherman Financial Group, LLC. Since February 2011, credit one bank services some two million cardholders in the United States.

Credit One bank  activates under a CEBA national bank charter (OCC Charter Number: 20291). This concerns the type of charter bank credit and deposit business functions. The requirements of a change in the Bank Holding Company Act (BHCA) is defined, the Act on Equality Act 1987 competitive banks, hence the term CEBA bank. To be eligible for this type of bank, Credit One bank  can connect only in credit card behavior. Banks can not accept deposits or deposits CEBA, the depositor may withdraw by check or similar means for payment to third parties. You can not save or time deposits of less than $ 100,000,000, except as security for loans secured credit card is used. It may not commercial loans to businesses. All deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). FDIC certificate number of a credit 25620.


Credit One bank began as a full-service bank under the name First National Bank of Marin (FNBM) in San Rafael, California, 30 July 1984. FNBM keep a wide range of products until 1995, when it primarily on two types of products, which began in full or partially secured credit cards. FNBM a date for the limited purpose of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), had the office of the Department of Finance in June 1996. Limited banks offer only a thin line of product. The bank moved from San Rafael, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, November 1998. CEBA FNBM get the status in March 2005 and subsequently changed its name to Credit One Bank, NA on 1 February 2006.
